ArcadiaMC Rules

These rules exist to ensure fair play, enjoyable interaction, and a healthy long-term community. Staff reserve the right to act in the spirit of these rules even if a specific situation is not explicitly listed.

Section 1 — Community Conduct

1.1 Chat Behavior

Casual, non-directed swearing and light trash talk are permitted as long as they remain playful and non-hostile. Hate speech, sexual content, slurs, or discriminatory remarks are strictly forbidden.

  • Allowed: “Our nation is better than yours.”
  • Disallowed: Slurs or discriminatory language.

1.2 Harassment & Toxic Conduct

Competition and friendly rivalry are welcome, but harassment is not. Harassment includes repeated insults, direct targeting, intimidation, or comments meant to upset another player. Trash talk is fine, but once it becomes persistent or personal, it becomes a punishable offense. Negatively impacting the experience of the community is not permitted.

  • Allowed: “Bro you’re trash at PvP lol.”
  • Disallowed: Following a player from place to place, repeatedly directing insults and instigating.

1.3 Personal Information

Sharing or requesting anyone’s personal information is strictly prohibited. Players may share their own information at their own risk, but must never share or seek another player’s identity, location, or private accounts. Doxxing yourself is heavily discouraged and may be punished.

  • Allowed: “You guys can call me Josh.”
  • Disallowed: Any form of sharing another person’s identity against their will.

1.4 Links & External Content

All links are prohibited from being sent in chat or placed on signs unless explicitly approved by staff.

  • Allowed: A staff-approved link to the official server Discord via commands such as /discord.
  • Disallowed: Advertising personal channels or external content.

1.5 Usernames, Skins & Titles

Usernames, skins, and titles must be appropriate for a general audience. NSFW content, hate symbols, or attempts to impersonate staff or well-known players are not permitted. Political themes are allowed provided they are not hateful.

  • Allowed: The username “FDRwasgood”.
  • Disallowed: Titles such as “Fuhrer”.

1.6 Town & Nation Naming Rules

Town and nation names must use Roman characters, follow reasonable naming conventions, and avoid NSFW themes, memes, real-world nation references, or intentionally misleading names. Names should be original and appropriate for the server’s custom world.

  • Allowed: Stonehaven, Ironwood, Iosa, Atafell.
  • Disallowed: LigmaTown, Tokyo, Silvergate2, Town, MIDDLEGUARD, Sukuna’s Kitchen, Peepee Palace.

1.7 Political & Controversial Discussion

Political or cultural opinions may be expressed as long as they remain respectful and do not target real-world groups. Discussion must not turn into hostility, baiting, or prolonged arguments that disrupt chat. Staff may end a topic at any time and players must comply.

  • Allowed: Calm, non-hostile discussion of political ideas or historical figures.
  • Disallowed: Attacks against real-world groups, extremist references, or statements meant to provoke conflict.

Section 2 — Fair Play

2.1 Cheat Clients

Any form of hacked client, injected cheat, or external program designed to automate combat, movement, or provide otherwise impossible gameplay advantages is strictly forbidden. This includes features such as kill aura, auto-pot, bhop, aimbot, and similar traditional Minecraft cheats. These tools undermine competitive integrity and will result in permanent removal from the server.

  • Allowed: FullBright, performance-focused texture packs.
  • Disallowed: Using a hacked client to auto-splash potions or automatically attack nearby players.

2.2 Disallowed Modifications & Automation

Some modifications are not considered traditional cheats but still provide advantages beyond normal gameplay and are therefore restricted. This includes cave or entity radar, Mouse Tweaks used during PvP, or any quality-of-life mod that automates inputs, clicks, or repetitive actions. AFK macros, auto-clickers, or scripts that perform actions while you are not actively present are not permitted.

  • Allowed: Using a minimap without cave or entity radar, or using Mouse Tweaks only outside of PvP.
  • Disallowed: Auto-clickers, radar to track hidden players, or using Mouse Tweaks mid-fight.

2.3 Exploits

Any attempt to abuse unintended mechanics, glitches, or loopholes to gain an advantage is strictly prohibited. This includes duplication bugs, force-loading tricks, combat logging bypasses, safe-logout loopholes, or avoiding intended risk. If a loophole is discovered, it must be reported rather than used. Rewards may be issued based on severity.

  • Allowed: Standard farms relying on intended vanilla mechanics.
  • Disallowed: Duplicating items or bypassing combat logging penalties.

2.4 Server Disruption

Players may not create machines or mechanisms that intentionally harm server performance, including lag machines, chunk-loading contraptions, or mass-entity setups designed to lower TPS. Threats or attempts to disrupt the server, including DDoS threats, will result in immediate action.

  • Allowed: Reasonably sized farms operating within normal server limits.
  • Disallowed: Lag machines, performance-abusing contraptions, or DDoS threats.

2.5 Alt Accounts

Alternate accounts are not permitted for any reason. All gameplay, PvP, town participation, trading, and interactions must be conducted on a single account. Using alts to bypass punishments, disguise identity, or gain advantages will result in removal of all secondary accounts.

  • Allowed: Playing exclusively on your single main Minecraft account.
  • Disallowed: Using alts for storage, PvP, voting, or ban evasion.

Section 3 — World Regulations

3.1 Griefing

Any intentional destruction, alteration, or theft within another player’s claimed land, protected zone, or established infrastructure outside of war is prohibited. This includes roads, rails, ice boat highways, canals, or other transportation systems that are actively used or maintained. Abandoned or clearly inactive infrastructure may only be removed by staff if it obstructs development.

  • Allowed: Modifying structures inside your own claims, or asking staff to evaluate inactive infrastructure.
  • Disallowed: Breaking an active ice boat rail, blocking a functioning highway, or altering another town’s maintained paths.

3.2 Town Claims

Town claims must form connected, cohesive shapes that reflect genuine settlement growth. Claims used as thin barriers, long tendrils, or strategic blocking lines are not allowed. Claiming directly against another town’s border, walling them in, or restricting expansion through claim placement or structures is prohibited. Above-ground farms must show reasonable effort toward organization and neatness.

  • Allowed: Expanding a town outward in a compact, sensible pattern.
  • Disallowed: Creating long, one-chunk-wide claim lines to block another town.

3.3 Town Creation Requirements

New towns must be founded with genuine intent to build and maintain an active settlement. Placeholder towns, joke towns, or towns created solely to occupy land without meaningful development are not permitted.

  • Allowed: Creating a town with active builds and planned development.
  • Disallowed: Establishing an empty town purely to control land or block others.

3.4 Map Art Guidelines

Map art, pixel art, and large-scale creative builds must be safe-for-work, non-offensive, and respectful of the community. Content that is sexual, violent, discriminatory, or hateful is strictly prohibited. Builds must not harass, insult, or target any player, town, or nation.

  • Allowed: Neutral, creative map art such as landscapes, logos, or decorative designs.
  • Disallowed: Nudity, sexual content, hate symbols, or offensive imagery targeting any group or player.

Section 4 — Conflict Rules

4.1 Combat Behavior & Protected Zones

Players may not use protected areas, non-PvP regions, or claim borders to gain unfair advantages in combat. This includes camping outside safe zones for easy kills, repeatedly targeting the same player after defeating them, or retreating into protected areas to reset fights.

  • Allowed: Engaging a player naturally when both parties are in a PvP-enabled area.
  • Disallowed: Waiting outside safe zones to kill players as they exit.

4.2 Spawn & Teleport Safety

All town and nation spawn points, including their surrounding areas, must remain safe. Traps, misleading structures, or harmful setups are strictly prohibited in these zones. Teleport systems may not be used to deceive, trap, or kill other players.

  • Allowed: Passing through spawn areas or teleporting players for normal trading.
  • Disallowed: Tricking players into teleporting into traps or kill rooms.

4.3 War Conduct & System Integrity

All war participants must follow intended mechanics and systems. Players may not exploit protection systems, teleport behaviors, terrain quirks, or unintended mechanics to interfere with war outcomes or prevent fair engagement.

  • Allowed: Fighting in wars using standard tactics and equipment.
  • Disallowed: Using unintended mechanics or loopholes to avoid combat or disrupt war progression.

Section 5 — Economy Rules

5.1 Trading & Player Shops

All trades must be fair and clearly agreed upon by all parties. Scamming, item-switching, misleading offers, or intentionally deceptive trade practices are not permitted. Player shops must accurately label prices and items to avoid confusion.

5.2 External Trading

All transactions must remain strictly in-game. Cross-server trading, real-money trading, gift card exchanges, or any trade involving value outside the server’s economy is strictly prohibited.

Section 6 — Governance & Staff Protocol

6.1 Staff Authority

All staff decisions must be respected. Arguing with, evading, or ignoring staff instructions is not permitted. Staff may take any reasonable action necessary to protect the server, its systems, and its players.

6.2 Reporting & Tickets

Players must use the proper reporting and ticket systems for all issues, including rule violations, bugs, or disputes. False reports, misuse of tickets, or harassment of staff regarding open cases is not allowed.

6.3 Punishments & Appeals

Punishments are issued at staff discretion based on severity, intent, and prior history. Appeals must follow the official appeal process and may only be submitted by the punished player. Attempting to bribe, coerce, or pressure staff regarding punishments or appeals is strictly prohibited.

6.4 Good Faith

Players are expected to act in good faith at all times. Lying, intentionally spreading misinformation, assisting rule-breaking, or instigating others to violate server rules is not permitted.
